ATTENDEES: Sue Bennett, Nancy Bodway, David Debbink, Marcia Debbink, Paul Freiberg, Walt Hedges, Barb Kelly, Bill Kelly, Lindsay Kaminski, Mary Poulson, Kris Stahl, Peter Thiel, Donna Weis, Bert Wiegand. Jan Mirenda Smith attended virtually.
BUSINESS MEETING: Was called to order by President Paul at 6:01 p.m.
MINUTES: Minutes of the March meeting were approved as published.
TREASURER’S REPORT: The treasurer’s report was approved as reported with a balance of $1,861.03 after disbursements of $75.00 to the Neenah Public Library for Mary Flanagan’s memorial, $100.60 to Paul Freiberg for electronic speaker, and $18.00 to Bill Kelly for name tag. There were no payments.
Barb filed the electronic 990N post card with the IRS.
BUSINESS: Bill announced that Lindsay will present the May paper and he will have a round table and asked members to come with ideas for future papers.
Paul stated that IATC had a Financial Situation Workshop Zoom meeting on the 17th. These discussions are in preparation for the Convention where there will be a vote on the upcoming year’s budget and potential increase in dues and/or cuts in services. An all-member briefing will take place on May 7, on Zoom.
Paul showed a IATC informational flyer/brochure for bringing in new members and shared some of the many interesting topics of previously presented papers.
Bill reminded members about the IATC Convention in Baltimore, Maryland in June.
Announcements: David announced that the Valley New School (which he was involved in establishing) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary on April 29th at the UW-Oshkosh at Fox Cities from 6:30 to 9:30 and invited all to attend.
Business meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
Paper Presentation by: Bert Wiegand: “The History of Computer Technology in My Lifetime”
Bert gave a very comprehensive and interesting talk about the progression of computer technology throughout his career of 35 years. A copy of his PowerPoint is included HERE.
