BUSINESS MEETING: Was called to order by President Bill at 6:06 p.m. Bill introduced our guest, Nancy Viegut, Sue’s sister visiting from Pennsylvania , as well as our virtual guest, Sofia.
MINUTES: Acceptance of the Minutes was moved by David, seconded by Marcia and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Barb reported a balance of $2,881.04, as of Nov. 9, 2023; a disbursement of $300.00 to Touchmark for meals and receipts of $85.00 for member dues and $270.00 for meal payments for a current balance of $2,936.04. Acceptance of the Treasurer’s report was moved by Peter, seconded by David and approved.
Barb passed the roster around for updating and noted that there was a new place to insert “profession”. Barb also informed the members that Donna Weis has discontinued her membership due to health issues. She will be missed.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Bert was not in attendance, but Bill recapped that all meetings through May, 2024 have presentations scheduled.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: Bill spoke about the 2024 IATC Centennial Anniversary Convention which will take place in Richmond, VA Thursday, June 20 th through Sunday, June 23 rd . All are encouraged to onsider attending and help celebrate 100 years of Torch. Accomodations will be at the Omni Hotel in downtown Richmond and registration is now open. Other new business is the arrival of a new potential legacy
member.
Congratulations to member Lindsay Kaminski and her husband Jesse, on the birth of their baby girl Jasna, born November 26 th . Thank you Lindsay for introducing her at the meeting!

Business meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m. followed by a delectable dinner, interesting conversation and Paul’s presentation.

Paul gave a very interesting talk on our very earliest relatives and the new technology that is being used to discover more about where we started.
